AC Milan and Inter have been left surprised by the latest investigation into the stadium project, more specifically the sale of San Siro.
The investigation by the Public Prosecutor’s Office casts doubt on the legality of the sale of the San Siro and the surrounding areas to the two clubs, something which, according to the Corriere della Sera (via MilanPress), surprised the two American ownership groups quite a bit.

Despite this, there is currently no sign of great concern on the part of the two clubs, who are confident they have followed the law and will take official positions publicly. That being said, it seems the stadium issue is destined to continue creating appeals, opposition and media headlines generally.
For now, therefore, no one within the ownership or management will use a safeguard clause, given that external consultants (in the case of the Rossoneri) or former employees (in the case of the Nerazzurri) are under investigation.
‘Many doubts’
Politics is obviously also involved and Riccardo Truppo – group leader of the Brothers of Italy – has expressed a strong position.
“The resolution was born badly, under the worst presuppositions, there have been many doubts throughout its long process, so certainly we can consider a motion, which, in self-defence, annuls the resolution following these judicial problems that are coming to a head,” he said.
“I think it could be the best way to safeguard the interests of the citizens and, paradoxically, also of the clubs. Let’s hope that at least this time Mayor Sala doesn’t appear to be declaring he knew nothing about what was happening, but is able to provide specific and detailed explanations regarding what his councillors or even managers were doing regarding these events.”
The powers that be, want to keep things the same so they can remain relevant and in power, no regard that Italian football is being left behind on every level, making calcio into a laughing stock, why should any player worth his salt want to come to seria a, the national team is a joke, from having Baggio, Zola and Signori amongst others to not having a real n10, what a shame, wonders who is to blame.

I think revolution needs to take place from the bottom to the top, legislation needs to be sped up so everyone can build stadiums and Calcio can try and Calcio needs to be put into the hands of new and snatched out of the hands of the old establishment
how many years had this been going? the way it is, inter and milan will never own or build modern stadium in Italy. the local authorization seems against it. they keep finding another issue and another reasoning to delay the project.
maybe they should build it abroad. can abroad be easier? xD
