CorSera: Milan interested in Italy international but €40m price tag has cooled talks

By Oliver Fisher -

More reports have emerged suggesting that AC Milan are looking at Gianluca Scamacca as the striker of the future, but they will have to pay a high asking price.

According to what is being reported by il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), Scamacca of Sassuolo is a concrete target for the Rossoneri as they look to bolster the attack and specifically the centre-forward department where there is currently only Olivier Giroud (35) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (40) considered as options.

However, for now things have not heated up substantially regarding the 23-year-old Italy international because the Rossoneri management believe the €40m asking price to be too high.

If the Neroverdi were to lower their demands or perhaps open to alternative formulas involving a loan or even counterparts then the situation might well change, but for the moment CorSera believe the margins for the deal to be completed are not there.

  1. Milan are notorious for not forcing players who want to leave, even if it means they leave for free. So why keep forcing the signing of Scamacca who clearly wants to move to Inter 🤔🤔🤔
