AC Milan have not walked away from Ardon Jashari just yet, but in a few days they might have to pull the plug on things.
The long-running soap opera surrounding Jashari’s future continues, but it will not go on for much longer. Negotiations can’t drag on forever given we will be in August tomorrow and so, one way or another, a conclusion must be reached within a few days.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) report this morning that Club Brugge continues to put up a defensive stance and, although unofficially, has also rejected AC Milan’s latest offer of €33.5 million plus easily achievable bonuses.
Can’t wait forever
Despite yet another refusal, Milan are still waiting and hoping that Club Brugge will soften their stance, knowing that Jashari has only one wish: to move to Milan. The player has been pushing for weeks to wear the Rossoneri shirt and has already communicated several times to Club Brugge.
Igli Tare and co. know that it would be counter-productive to hang on for too long so they have given a sort of ultimatum. On Friday, CEO Giorgio Furlani will return to Italy with the team after the tour of Asia and Australia and will take stock. After that, a decision either way could be made.
Time is running out and if Milan want to move on to another player to strengthen their midfield, they’ll have to do so quickly. For now, Jashari remains the top choice for the head coach Massimiliano Allegri, with a lot of work already done on the deal too.
Meanwhile, in an update on his YouTube channel, Matteo Moretto revealed that Milan have very much not given up yet and are planning a potential budget alteration to make it happen.
“AC Milan are evaluating to go for a cheaper right-back and re-allocate that budget for the striker and for Ardon Jashari. Milan are obsessed with Jashari and are still working to sign him. It remains to be seen if Milan decide to make another step.”
Brugge tactics is to get Milan frustrated so that Milan can move on to someone else. They have no intention of selling to Milan
Move on already, it’s almost August. Re-allocate the funds for a striker, RB and CB. As far as the midfield goes, if Bennacer doesn’t leave, use him as a rotation piece.
The problem with Bennacer is that he is unreliable as a person and somewhat as a footballer. Last oday Transfer Market he will suddenly ask for a transfer like he did earlier and we had to buy Bondo.

I know we wont be able to get all our transfer targets this summer doue, vlahovic but if we can just complete the midfield this season and sort out the defence next season when we are in champions league thats good enough. This is a transitional season we are not supposed to win anything.

I’d suggest we sign the Valencia kid and leave him on loan till Jan or next season when we can comfortably sell the midfield deadwoods.

If they’re waiting for Furlani to come back, my guess is they want to discuss with him wether or not to go all in for Jashari and spend 40M€ because there is no point in discussing sports affair with someone who doesn’t understand anything about it.
For the love of god sign Ferguson instead and Timber/Taylor/Guerra
Injury free bennacer and Loftus cheek are like new signings. With modric adding prestige, experience and wisdom I think our midfield will be fine. Spend that money on other areas like RB, CF and CAM.
A bit left field but scamacca and de kaatalare are good options with proven serie A experience and right age worth pursuing.

Except you can’t bet on any of these 2 being injury free for too long. Plus, you can clearly see how far they’re now removed from whatever players they used to be (especially Bennacer).
Giving that Modrić can’t be relied on game in game out giving his age, you currently have Ricci and other midfielders whose combined creativity equal 0.
I don’t know if De Ketelaere fits our system and Scamacca had 2 big injuries last season in his ACL and then hamstring, so not thanks.

If playing 352 I would have kept Theo as he is ideal as wingback.

If Milan end up bidding again then it just means Tate’s word doesn’t mean much with his “that was our last offer” statements.
This is why you don’t make statements publicly until the negotiation is done. Other clubs will look at Milan as pushovers, which we have become.
We already over dragged the purchase of De Ketelaere from the same club and ended up paying the full price and even ended up paying the full price to AS Monaco last season for Fofana despite him being in his last year of contract, so if we adds this one to the mix, it will became clear for any club we’ll be dealing with in the future that they’ll have no reason to offer us a discount and can simply stick to their valuation.
And let’s not get into how much missing preseason, missing games, all this stress and this media can negatively impact a player, especially a young bloke from Jupiler.
That cheaper RB was Pubill at 16M. So now they’re going to reduce that 25M RB budget down to 15M or so, and who are they going to find?
