CM: Milan ready to invest on a striker for the future – the truth about Gouiri and Scamacca

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will soon have to make an investment on the centre-forward of the future and two names in particular catch their eye, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, there are doubts about whether Zlatan Ibrahimovic will stay while Marko Lazetic could potentially leave on loan for the 2022-23 season, meaning that there could well be the signing of two new strikers this summer.

Unless there are surprises, the first one will be Divock Origi who should on a free transfer from Liverpool as the final details should be settled in the next few days. The Belgian is a player that Paolo Maldini strongly wanted, and he should get his wish.

Then, the possible identikit of the next striker has been drawn up: they must be young but already with good experience. Gianluca Scamacca of Sassuolo is a profile that  the management admire but at the moment his €40m asking price means he cannot be considered a concrete target.

However, there are no confirmations regarding rumours of the Rossoneri’s interest in Amine Gouiri who has 10 goals and 7 assists for OGC Nice this season. The 22-year-old is a talent followed with interest by Borussia Dortmund but not by Milan, who are looking at other profiles.
