Tuttosport: Milan planning Ibra’s long-term successor – €80m duo in the viewfinder

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are planning an investment in each department during the summer window including a striker who could be the long-term successor to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes that view of the 2022-23 season the Rossoneri know that they are likely to need to sign a striker, also based on the decision that will be taken on the renewal of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Even if he were to continue for another season, Milan will in all likelihood be forced to intervene to reinforce the attack because they cannot rely on an 18-year-old Marko Lazetic, a 36-year-old Olivier Giroud and a 41-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Among the names that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara like the most are Jonathan David of Lille and Alexander Isak of Real Sociedad, but both players have an asking price that is already at least €40m given the interest of other clubs, their age (both 22) and their fantastic past 18 months.

  1. Now or never, right now we have Emil Robback and Marko Lazetic on the bench., give them chance to played much minute, and we will see a lot goals from them.,

  2. We wait years till a player is rusty to get them- Rinaldo, Ronaldinho, Beckham, Giroud, Mandzukic,…, now, Belotti. We want to go to d champions league next season wt worn-out strikers. We’ll end up wt d same result we had in dis one.
