More news is emerging regarding what the structure of AC Milan’s latest offer to Club Brugge for Ardon Jashari is.
After getting agreements for Luka Modric and Samuele Ricci over the line, it appears to be no secret that Jashari is who the management want to complete a new-look midfield. However, negotiating with Brugge is never easy, and another soap opera has developed.

Convincing the player was no issue and he is believed to have his heart firmly set on joining the Rossoneri, but not meeting point has yet been found with the Belgian side regarding the transfer fee.
Milan’s latest offer
Late last night, Sacha Tavolieri of Sky Switzerland posted the following: “AC Milan just put NOW on the table an offer never seen in Belgium football history! €33m + €5m bonus on the table of Club Brugge. Ardon Jashari wants to be a Milan player and Milan wants the Swiss at ALL costs. Wait and see.”

Fabrizio Romano tweeted: “AC Milan new proposal for Ardon Jashari, worth €32.5m plus add-ons up to €38m potential package. Despite reports on BVB and more clubs, Jashari keeps giving total priority to AC Milan. Up to Club Brugge.”
So, it seems that Milan are waiting for a response to an offer that could well be their last, given that they have raised the stakes repeatedly already. However, it is worth noting that it is not yet at the €35m fixed amount that Brugge are believed to want.

So we sold Reijnders for €55M and now we are getting someone who had one good season in Belgium for €38M? This is wild.
Yeah that seems like selling low and buying high.
Tiji is a unique player. Huge loss to the team but whats more is that it illustrates any good players we develop will be sold, so we are building nothing and there is no point in getting excited by new signings.
So unique that a saudi arabian team just knocked his ass out of the cwc. Bro he is not this generational talent can be replaced with a top/good management.
So Tiji arrived at city some weeks ago and he is now the responsible for the team?
He most certainly is a generational talent for us, we have not had a midfielder like that in almost 20 years.
Most certainly not easy to replace the 2nd highest scoring midfielder in Europe
Let the clowns act like clowns.
Reijnders was an unknown player before now.
Thesame guys who scouted him for us have also scouted Jashari, why not just trust them once more, instead of whining like a teenage girl observing her menses.
Dear John,
What is the logic here?
In order to build a good team a club keeps their best players and adds others.
You are suggesting we trust them to do it again, but why, to what end? To sell them on and never have a good team?
p.s the same people who “scouted” Emerson
Please stop with the generational talent talk. Tiji is a good player. He was ok his first season and had a very good season last season, and we finished where? And our midfield was the weakest part of our team, as it has been since Kessie left.
Far better players have been sold by better clubs. Mbappe was sold by PSG and they are much better for it. If we get a midfield of Modric, Ricci and Jashari for selling Reijnders, the team is better for it.
Selling low and buying high? We’ve made a windfall on Tonali, Kalulu, and Reijnders, we’ve bought low and sold high. Why do you think they’ve managed to turn a profit every season. Sometimes I wonder what some of you are smoking.
Yes we sold Tiji for too little and the the price of this guy relative to his experience is huge. Remember CDK?
only u are dumb enough to ignore the bonuses
He wanted to leave Milan couldn’t ask for too much, truth is we screwed ourselves with no UCL, city wanted him badly. More money, UCL football and you can actually challenge, get to work with Pep and play in the premier league.
He had recently signed a renewal and was happy at Milan. We also could have just said no, you are not leaving, you have a contract.
It’s a good move for Tiji but let’s not pretend our hand was forced
People need to stop acting like they heard of Reijnders before Milan bought him…
What difference does that make?
I hadn’t heard of Kaka before he went to Milan. Whats your point?
So stop comparing Jashari negatively to him. You’re out of the loop.
I’m not comparing them
Of course you’re comparing them. You’re saying ~60m is cheap for 28 year old Tiji and 38m is too much for 22 year old Jashari. You know as much about Jashari as you did about Tiji when he was purchased….next to nothing.
Nowhere have I compared them, that is what you are doing in a ham fisted manner
Btw Tiji has just turned 27 not 28.
Yes the price for Tiji is low and the price for Jash is high. They are 2 very different players with very different levels of experience.
Club Brugge will participate in the UCL qualification process, AC Milan is no where in any European competition next season, do you really expect their players to be valued same way?
If Jashari plays for them and they qualify into the UCL, that would be a guaranteed €20m in revenue for them.
He is their best player, and they have the UCL as their bargaining chip in negotiations considering the potential revenue they can achieve with his help.
But, for Reijnders, we really didn’t have the cards in our favour in the negotiations, yet we were able to sell him for €70m, that I tell you, is an excellent piece of business.
Despite a player’s experience, I hate to put it to you that clubs seldom pay for experience, they pay for the economic reality of both the club and the player, that is why even the most talented experienced player in a relegated club does not command the highest economic and transfer fee, because the selling club has little to leverage on during negotiation.
If they are willing to buy him for almost 40 (which is nuts) then they know they can probably sell him for 80…
Weeeeellll…. Reijnders also had just one good season and is closer to 30. But still… Should have asked for 100M€.
Reijnders was next level both seasons, with or without goals. If you remember, Pioli has used him everywhere that season. In a pivot of two, in a three man mid, as an attacking mid, in front of defense… All sorts of out of position. And still Reijnders did his best.
Exactly right. Whats more the guy is improving year on year, who knows where his ceiling is.
At Holland he even played behind the striker and did well there too. His only shortcomings are defensive. In a functional, well-assembled team he’ll be even more effective.
Of course as I say that, ManCity get eliminated from CWC. LOL!!!
Agree with you, mad money to pay for young player. Surprised Milan splashing the cash… as for Reijnders, he wanted to go, no point keep players that they don’t want to play for us. You right tho, they should get more out of his sale.
Let’s hope new players won’t disappoint
Not so mad, Chelsea paid 100m for Caceido and he’s basically Pobega.
Several ways to look at it.
One, in terms of pure fees we sold Reijnders for 55M plus 10-15M in bonuses and got both Ricci and (maybe) Jashari for less than that. After all, you’re quoting the ‘without bonus’ figure for Reijnders and the ‘including bonuses’ figure for Jashari.
Another is that we got an injection to make us FFP compliant last year with some additional income for this year and next (the bonuses), which the club has already reinvested (somewhat counter to all the ‘they’re only in it for profit’ crowd).
A different angle? If this comes off, we’ll be paying about 20M per season for Ricci and Jashari (wages plus fees) whereas we were paying about 8M per season for Reijnders. So we’re paying much more from the budget for this pair.
Selling with a profit and reinvesting it, it’s still a profit in the books. So saying “they’re in only for the profit” is not wrong. They’re buying two talented and young midfielders in Ricci and Jashari who still have a lot of room for growth. They represent an investment with potential for a high return. They’re looking to double it in a two seasons time. Of course if it all goes according to plan with them.
OK, but the profit is being made and reinvested by the club, no-one is taking that money out of AC Milan
Exactly. The Teds of this world are so caught up in their own lies, they’re incapable of telling the truth.
Taking money out doesn’t mean they’re taking it out directly when players are sold. Club will register a profit in the books thanks to these sales which mean higher bonuses and payouts for investors, stock value rise etc. Besides, they are also saving around 30 millions in salaries which is another basket to take from. I want to say, there are many ways to take the money out but no one does it directly and I’m sure the “they’re in only for the profit” folk don’t think of it that way either.
@uberhulk
First you need to distinguish and comprehend what is a lie, a truth and an actual fact of how things work in economics. I am trying to simplify it for mor*ns like you but you do not comprehend pure basics of anything and funny enough it does not stop you from making a complete mockery out of your miserable self. Insulting people who want to have an actual discussion because you do not understand it, that’s miserable and cringy and I feel very sorry for you and people around you who have to put up with you every single day. But don’t let this stop you, you keep it up cause you sure know how to make my day with your idiocy.
You’re including Jashari’s bonuses but not Reijnders’ in your figures. Reijnders had one good season (he was terrible year one).
I honestly don’t know what people were expecting we’d get for him.
He was nowhere near terrible buddy, you want to see terrible go rewatch Tonali’s first season or Jessie’s first 2 seasons, Mr Workboots was all over the damn place.
Horses for courses. I’ll admit the word ‘terrible’ might have been a bit ‘man at keyboard with opinion’, but for me, season one he was nowhere near the level.
For the record my preference would be he was still a Milan player but I’m basing that entirely on last season. This isn’t about that though, it’s about value. Whilst I’m sure he’ll offer them something they didn’t have last season, there is no indication he’ll be a ‘standout’ performer for them, so talk of 100m is ludicrous. He’s a centre mid with one (go on then, and a half) good season under his belt and no honours.
Actually Reijnders first season wasn’t bad at all, he just can’t shoot on target. He run more and contribute more to overall play in his first season, I don’t remember he had any bad games. He was more accurate in his shooting in his 2nd season but actually contribute less to the overall play, he was playing more forward. Reijnders is not a generational talent like Modric, let’s not overate him. I rate Tonali much higher than him. Selling him for higher price than Tonali is a good deal. I would definitely choose to sell Reijnders for 70m and rebuild our midfield, he is not a good fit for our midfield IMO. I personally think Jashari is a better fit than Reijnders, we need somebody who can cover the defence and spread the ball as we don’t play with a destroyer in MF so we can’t keep leaving our defence exposed.
Terrible year one? Did you actually observe “year one” under Pioli? Did you see all the positions Pioli tried him in?
Unless of course the only metric you know is “goals scored”
Other players that had 1 good season in Belgium: Sergej Milinković-Savić, Ruslan Malinovksyi, Victor Osimhen, …
Looks like it´s worth the bet.
Other players that had 1 good season in Belgium: Sergej Milinković-Savić, Ruslan Malinovksyi, Victor Osimhen, …
Looks like it´s worth the bet
To begin with, let’s compare apples to apples. The fixed portion of Reijnder’s fee is 55M. The fixed portion of Jashari’s fee is 32.5M. That still represents a 22.5M difference. Note that this is almost exactly what we paid fixed for Ricci, 23M. If we add the “bonuses”, we stand to gain around another 10M (15M from Reijnders – 5.5M for Jashari).
So instead of seeing this as a we traded Tijji for Jashari and a little bit of cash, we should being seeing it as we traded Tijji for Jashari and Ricci. Could we have kept Reijnders and gotten Jashari? Yes, maybe, if Jashari was the only transfer that we needed to make this summer. But that’s not the case. We need another good striker, who will cost 25M at a minimum, we need a good RB who will also cost 25M at a minimum, and we could also use a decent backup RB who could cost between 10-15M. All of this without CL income.
Ideally, in the future we don’t have to sell a player like Tijji to add a player like Jashari. In the future, I hope that we can spend the 40-50M we usually have to spend without sales (if we qualify for the CL) on one targeted signing per summer to slowly add and improve a good squad. Unfortunately, this summer, that’s not the case, because our squad has been so bollixed over the last couple of summers by poor construction (hence our 9th place finish) that we need to do it this way to reset.
Finally, you complain about how we’re so ready to pay so much for a player who had “one good season in Belgium”, but we just sold a player who had “one good season” in Serie A for a massive profit after buying him from the Eredivisie, where he wasn’t even ever “player of the season”, unlike Jashari. Add to this that you question us for buying a player who played “one good season”, while City is doing exactly the same thing in buying Reijnders. I guess City don’t know what they’re doing.
P.S. I didn’t include a Theo replacement in the above, because that will be covered by Theo’s sale.
Sorry, I meant to write “decent backup LB who could cost between 10-15M”.
Tiji is not the only player we are selling for money, so your argument has no basis.
Why sell Tiji first when we have stocks of players to sell. Start with Musah!
Also let’s be real, a player who is 2nd highest scoring midfielder in top 5 leagues is not comparable to a young player in Belgian league
Yeah, he *became* the second highest scoring midfielder. It wasn’t written. How do you know what Jashari will do? Did you know Reijnders would be 2nd highest scoring midfielder when we signed him? Hindsight is 20/20 bro. If CDK had turned out to be what we needed him to be, we probably wouldn’t even have signed Reijnders. Also, Ricci and Jashari play different roles to Reijnders. Clearly, they’re trying to beef up the midfield, make it more defensive, and they’re right to. Regardless, you skimmed my post, because I also said that in an ideal world, we don’t have to sell a Reijners to add a Jashari (or Ricci). Finally, as to Musah, yes he should and could also be sold, but like I said, Reijnders is a two for one, and we needed two, because we’ve been at a deficit since Kessie left. Musah would have been a one for one. Also, we had Reijnders money on the table in the first week of June. You don’t leave money on the table if you need money. Where is the Musah money on the table? At the moment everything is rumors about Napoli or Forest or whatever.
It is not hindsight, it is the opposite.
We know Tiji is an outstanding player who has proven himself.
Jashari, well we just don’t know
I have nothing against the guy, hopefully he does well, but that is huge money for a Belgian league player
When we signed CDK for almost €40m after just one good season in Belgium, no one could talk nor scrutinise.
Of course, a certain infallible club legend was in charge.
First of all, the player wanted to go to Man City.
Reijnders was a young player from the Dutch league when we signed him, so what exactly is your point? This player may be more the kind of midfielder that we actually need.
In this physical universe we occupy, I do not foresee Milan spending big on a striker after a 35mil splash on Jashari (if it goes through) 🙂
Nor should we. We spent 30M on Gimenez, who arrived in January to a club in chaos. I’d like to see him have a preseason and full season with us before passing judgement. If we spend 50M on another striker now, we’d be flushing Gimenez and 30M down the toilet. If it’s about a different “profile”, like a target man, Lucca and Scamacca can be had for 25M. Lucca/Scamacca, plus Gimenez, plus Leao and Pulisic, should be enough for top 4 in a season where we only have Serie A and the Coppa Italia to deal with. Then, assuming a top 4 finish and not needing anything major elsewhere, we can reevaluate a big striker signing in 2026.
That’s sensible.
I see headlines about giving Gimenez competition. But I would rather we had a complimentary striker to Gimenez. So that if you have to throw them both together the y don’t occupy the same space.
I’m surprised we didn’t take J. David on a free, would have done the job as a lone striker or in a 2
Reijnders had one good season.
Dense take…
Strong argument you make…
He was bang average his first season with us. Missed a ton of easy goals. His finishing improved greatly last season, but still just one good season.
I know we are doing this thing where every time Milan sell a player we have to pretend they were the greatest thing in the world so we can kill the management, but it’s getting a bit tired at this point. Our midfield has been the weak point of the team with him so clearly we need a different type of midfielder.
See my reply to bb above…
If you exclude add on Jashari just 32m euro basic fee with add on 6m euro while tiji 55m euro basic fee with add on 15m euro. So basically tiji money from sale = ACM get both ricci & jashari. One trade for two midfield . Allegri want more creative midfield & good passer thats why club bring ricci & modric also try hard for jashari. Allegri already have same type with tiji in RLC ( ball carrier, physical, box to box)
Tbh I think this guy will be better than Rjinders. Crazy thing to say I know but the guy is not only good in attack but rly good at Defence too and also faster than Tiji.
Same like you, I am impressed by this Jashari guy. i would pay 38m for Jashari rather than paying 25m for Ricci, I think he is a special player.
You understand they play two completely different positions, right?
For a position of need 25mil for Ricci is a steal and has nothing to do with what is spent on Jashari.
Milan should pay the money and done the job pls we can’t afford to lose jashari over 3ml or something like that if we sign jashari then we can forget about reijnders he will be statement
When negotiating with one of the richest clubs in the world for your best player that season you need to be able to make them pay a lot.
It doesn’t matter if Reijnders was hiding in some matches or wasn’t as good defensively as offensively.
He contributed with so many goals and assists in a disfuntional team it’s crazy!
If City wants him then just set the price extremely high. This management only understand the economics in making profit. Understand how much money your counterpart has and how much they want the player and set the price to an insane level to start with.
I hope Jashari is very good but don’t know anything about hiim. 38 million is a lot for us and now considering we are trying to get rid of Theo and have to replace him and get a new right back and hopefully a central defender and a striker.
There are so many holes to fill.
I think the timing had a lot to do with having offloaded Reijnders as fast as they did.
This management always sells first, then reinvests. If they wanted more for him this transfer would have had to drag on all summer and they would probably get a bit more at the end.
BUT, Milan are desperate. Tare has just come in, brought in Max, and there isn’t much time to rebuild this team if Reijnders is sold right away. Truth is, they were even late bringing Tare in, as he could have already started in Spring. But since Furlani is a clown, here we are.
There is no other player they could have sold right away for a significant sum outside of Reijnders to begin the rebuild. There was no interest in Leao.
Tare could have spent two months selling our junk to raise some money, but we don’t have the time. So, reijnders is sold for 55+15 and we already have Ricci and hopefully Jashari soon…
Seems like most of you don’t exactly know the type of player Jashari is, he’s a pure defensive midfielder, much more so than Fofana or Ricci. Both of the latter progress the ball, Jashari plays more like Ambrosini uses to play, but even then Ambro progressed the ball a lot more, whereas Reijnders played more like Seedorf late in his career, Ricci plays more like Seedorf played earlier in his career and Jashari plays like Gilberto Silva for the best possible comparison.
This is such a great comparison. Seriously, good stuff!
Saying these new midfielders Ricci and Jashari will be better then Reijnders, is a nonsense. There’s nothing to compare here as they’re completely different type of midfielders.
this reminds me to CDKs case. Negotiation took so long, he came to us and was flop.
Now we did basically same thing with Jashari..back and fort negotiation over the right price. If he finally comes to milan, I hope he is not flop .
I prefer Milan now focus on Leoni..
The market officially opened yesterday. This is nothing like CDK. At least not yet.
Stop being Teds. Some of you are really dense. Reijnders is 27 this month. He has little re-sale value, that’s why the fee was ‘low’ and the reason it was bonus heavy is because his previous club got a percentage of the sale, the bonuses mean Milan end up getting more money than they would have with a straight sale. Jashiri is 23 later this month. Even if he tanks, due to his age, his re-sale value is high, as we saw with CDK.
Calls people dense and the proceeds to talk complete nonsense. Typical you.
“his re-sale value is high, as we saw with CDK.”
Tell me where did we SAW “the high re-sale value” in CdK case? Last time I checked RedBird sold him for much less they paid and just as much so they don’t book a loss. His transfermarkt value is still less than what Milan paid for him.
You should start and read after youself before you post. Or maybe not and keep us entertained.
CDK was signed for €37.5 million and sold for €34 million, despite being a flop. That means he had a high re-sale value, largely due to his age. Who told you a high resale value automatically equates to profit? It doesn’t. As you have shown time and time again you lack understanding on ALL matters, football and finance:
Q. Something with a high resale value doesn’t automatically mean that item fetches a profit?
CGPT:
Correct — a high resale value doesn’t automatically mean an item yields a profit.
High resale value just means an item retains value well.

How is it that you still haven’t learned it’s a terrible idea to reply to me? You’re such a Ted.
And no, I’m not interested in having a discussion with you. I’m not sure how you confused insulting you and exposing you with a discussion. I only discuss things with people I respect.
We’re not reselling cars here, we’re talking about ROI on players bought with potential making profit from re-sale. Selling for less then you bought it’s called loss or at least break even considering amortisation. Even AI tool cannot help a mor*n like you with no flexibility in understanding business.
I don’t really need your respect nor do I seek it from an imbec*l like you. It’s you who keeps on mentioning me all the time. Stop beating your meat on me you pervert.
Ted, I respect your point of view. I get that you don’t like our ownership, I’m not thrilled with them either at this point. But it is often a bit harsh. I think one can easily accuse ownership of incompetence, but to say that they don’t spend is a bit misleading. Last season we spent 121M (4th in Serie A). Juventus spent the most, at 200M, and only barely made it to 4th place. The season before that, we spent 128M, the most in Serie A. So I don’t know what you need to be satisfied. Spend 228M instead of 128M? The money spent doesn’t seem to be the issue, it’s how they’re spending it. Hopefully, the hirings of Tare and Allegri prove to be a turnaround in management’s decision making, which in turns leads to better market decisions and success on the pitch, which in turn hopefully assuages your angst, as well as ours.
@vero
It is simple really, start by keeping our best player(s) and if funds are needed sell less crucial players. We have many with a good value and interested customers
Musah
Chucky
RLC
Tomori
Bennacer
Pobega
Adli
Not to mention we get paid CDK and Kalulu money this summer.
Pellegrino
Colombo
Vasquez
It all adds up
It’s irrelevant what commodity is being sold, and players are commodities. The fact remains that CDK retained his value despite being a flop and that was in part due to his age. I used AI for your benefit, not mine, you Ted, as you clearly didn’t understand the context in which I said CDK had a high resale value. You still don’t, but that’s what makes you a Ted. Even after things are explained in simple terms, you still don’t get it and still hold onto your false positions.
I don’t know why you guys engage with each other. Neither one of you really considers the other’s viewpoint 🙂
@vero, management and ownership are not even in context here. The context is this r*tarded ubermor*n and his mentioning of me. I somehow crawled under his skin and now he’s jacking off my username.
But to answer you, my problem with this ownership was never about spending. If anything I am against reckless spending and been vocal about it many times. My problem with them is same as of 80% of the fan base globally. Naming each and every wrong move would be repeating myself like a broken record.
Risky business? Yes.
I just hope management and fans won’t be so quick to judge him in just 1 season.
Serie A is tough nut to crack for players.
Kessie only played well during scudetto season, so did tonali.
Reijndeers clicked on his 2nd season.
Theo, Leao, etc were the same.
But one thing i find it funny is how people so easily compare his transfer to cdk.
Just because we signed 1 “flop” from club brugge that means we shouldn’t be buying players from them ever again?
What kind of logic is that?!
TJ sale @ 27 years for 55m to potentially 70m is a good deal for Milan. The deal is also sweet because of the timing to balance the books and exit UEFA Settlement Agreement.
Jashari funds will be funded by Theo sale.
The only failure of current management is the football result. Please let us cut them some slack especially with their willingness to take steps to correct their mistakes of the past. Proper DS tare appointed and Coach with serie A trophy recruited. Also trying to sign the most feasible players for the project including willing to spend on a top striker
Maldini and Co failed to sell high valued players which cost Milan dearly.
“The only failure of current management is the football result” = the only thing that matters
“willingness to take steps to correct their mistakes”
They should not have sold Tonali and now they should not have sold Tiji = nothing learned
“Maldini and Co failed to sell high valued players which cost Milan dearly” = they won the title
Anyone who complains about the Tonali sale given he went onto be banned for a year is incapable of rational thought. Stop being a Ted. Yes, M & M built a team that won the scudetto, but it’s pure delusion to think they would have maintained that level of success, as the next season showed, They lost Kessie, Donnarumma and Hakan for nothing. They failed to replace the aging Ibrahimovic and Giroud. Origi and CDK were massive flops. That is one of the reasons Maldini was sacked. Get over it.
The one good thing this management haven’t done is lose key players on free transfers. How many idiots were saying Leao would leave for nothing? His contract was renewed. Reijnders had to be sold due to losses.
Tiji did not have to be sold, thats just untrue.
A sale had to be made to not end up with a loss for the year. He’s right. The time was running out. Reijnders’ sale was the best and quickest route for that.
Had they tried to sell off other pieces to amount to Reijnders’ total, they would have run out of time.
My understanding was we were 20m or so in the red.
We had Kalulu and CDK money coming in as well as other bits and bobs like pellegrino.
We also had interest lined up for Chucky, Emerson (who were almost sold in Jan), Musah etc.
Next season is where we will feel the pinch without CL money, so we may be prepared for a big flashy sale in 2026
You still jacking off on me you little perverted tard?
Gross, Ted. Keep it classy.
38m for this 😂😂 so again managers make us foolish. Send Rijnders for this guy 😂😂
You and others probably made this same statement about Reijnders when we signed him.
Furthur proof that all people want to do on here is complain. And the argument is always changing. Ownership is cheap and won’t spend… Then they complain that we spend too much on a player.
They sold our best player! That is the reality
Grow up. Happens all the time. And i would not say he was our best player. Pulisic was our best player over the last 2 seasons. Tiji had a very good season. One season. And our midfield has been the weak point of the team for the last few seasons so a change was necessary. Our midfield has been getting run over since Kessie left. If selling him allows us to have a midfield of Modric, Ricci and Jashari, that is an upgrade and well worth it.
To me this is a win – win situation. By selling Tijji we are aligned with FFP, and will get 2 for 1 deal. Also you lot should have more faith in Tare. Let’s wait and see how it will turn out. Give guy a chance and judge later.
Selling Reijnders was by Furlani’s mean
Buying Jashari is by Tare’s mean (include the coach)
Now, you see?
