A definitive end to the Ardon Jashari soap opera was expected to come yesterday, but AC Milan were once again left waiting.
It was reported by Sky and other sources on Monday evening/Tuesday morning that the next few hours should yield a response from Club Brugge to the Rossoneri’s latest offer, one totalling €37-38m.

Radio silence
Milan believe that they have made every possible effort – financially and otherwise – to sign Jashari, but there has yet to be a response from the Belgian club. Gianluca Di Marzio confirmed it on Sky last night.
“We’re still waiting for Brugge’s response regarding Jashari. We’ll see if it arrives tomorrow. Contacts regarding Boniface have been confirmed,” he said (via MilanNews).
Responding to a question from a fan on X, Matteo Moretto said regarding the decision being on Tuesday: “It’s not that I had to say it… it was what was coming out of Milan: they were expecting a response early in the week, between Monday and Tuesday. But still nothing.”
Corriere dello Sport have a report this morning about the Swiss midfielder, describing it as a ‘war of nerves’. Tuesday was supposed to be the day of smiles from all parties involved, and for a definitive answer to come.
The response, however, has not yet arrived: Club Brugge has not given the green light to Jashari to move to Milan, who will have to wait. The offer is: €32m fixed, plus €3m in bonuses that are relatively easy to secure, plus another €2m more dififcult ones, for a total package of €37m.
That bid has not yet convinced the Belgians, who are holding out until the very last minute, knowing the offer they have on the table could denote the most expensive sale in their history and that of the Belgian top flight.
It’s Paolo Maldini’s fault. Imagine that?! He called Club Brugge and told them not to sell to Milan?! Who does he think he is?

Because Milan sells its top players without negotiating, jumping at the very first offer, doesn’t mean that other clubs have to do the same.

The average fan doesn’t have the knowledge to understand the inner workings of transfers, it’s always surface level criticism.

It took something like one day and a half to sell Tonali or Reijnders. If there’s someone that the average fan can understand, it’s that Milan is terrible at transfers and there is a pattern. Bruges this year and two years ago or Monaco last year are more severe in negotiations for their coveted star players, for example. Anyway Milan with its moneyball mentality is happy as long as there’s capital gain, the point is to have a balanced budget at the end of the season by any means necessary, and it’s not through sporting results. They don’t need too much money to rebuild, they will always find 15-20M low cost random players to fill holes.
They sold those players for large amounts. We offered Monaco $12m for their star midfielder, France international in his prime lol.
They are not the same. Every deal is unique and every team has to find a replacement at some point.
To add to your point, kind check our previous transfer target who have a year left on their contract. We pay maximum to secure them
If they want to up the request for 40-50mil, they can forget about it and keep him. It’s getting frustrating at this point, and no one will offer them that sum.
Notice how easy they are willing to let go easily some of their top players to the premier league for 20 million while we have to spend almost 40M euro.
Let it go cold and concentrate on our other positions – if that is our final bid, the ball is in their court. Just wait for the call..
This is how they did delay CDK transfer back then that made him missed preseason and that contributed to his floppy performance in Milan.
If they don’t want to do business with Milan let them come openly and stop being childish. That amount offered for the Ardon is enough.
CDK floped becouse he was not cut for Milan’s system, not becouse he missed the preseason. Of course missing the preseason did not help but that was not the reason why he floped. Back then we needed nr 10 and a right winger, and CDK was neither. He also does not play well as a single striker, he was not cut for us.
Milan needs a couple of streetwise directors to deal with the mercato. We are a total walkover when it comes to these deals. No wonder 90% of all loanees returned to Millanelo because we cannot put proper deals in place. Sell our top players at a go and battle to clinch buys. And the problem is that teams know our weakness…the English Premier League…they also know we need to revamp, we need certain players, hence the tug of war…where is our bargaining chip if not streetwise directors that can get these things done.
It has nothing to do with directors, there are a growing number of players no one will sign, but are happy to loan.
They know Milan is desperate to get him. Milan don’t have all potential sale (from the collections of Deadwoods) on their way out and the preseason is beginning, while having fresh money from the sale of Tiji.
While the loanees have came back and are not anywhere close to the way out, there’s still players like Origi that comes on Monday to collect the weekly wages😆😆

We know where and how the new fullbacks are going to play, but the shape of the midfield needs evaluation and time to gel.
Plan B’s with any real traction are non-existent so let’s hope this is sorted today or tomorrow. It’s very unlikely – despite the picture the article is trying to paint, that Brugge are simply ghosting us; there will be open lines of communication, it just needs to move forward.

If Club Brugge was not happy with the offer, they would have said no already, similarly to what they did to our initial offer. They did not turn down the improved offer, that means it is not the issue. It just feels amateur hour how they are scrambling to find a replacement despite having known of the player’s will for a good while now.
I don’t see how a club the size of Brugge turns down 35mil since that’s their bread&butter – churning out young players and reselling them for profit.
I think they are basically trying to find Jashari’s replacement before they let go of him. Otherwise this stall doesn’t make sense. I don’t think they are peeved that much to kill this deal over how it went with CDK.
