L’Equipe: Milan watching closely as PSG consider offloading €40m striker

AC Milan are in the market for a new centre-forward ahead of the summer and they might just be able to land one from Paris Saint-Germain, a report claims.

According to L’Equipe, PSG are already thinking about the idea of parting ways with Hugo Ekitike despite the fact that they signed him for €40m last summer from Stade de Reims.

The 20-year-old has had a disappointing first season in Paris but not a disastrous one, given that he has started just 11 times and has four goals and added three assists across 27 appearances in all competitions.

The French source suggest that PSG would be willing to consider offers for Ekitike in view of the summer with Milan mentioned as being among the interested suitors, along with rivals Juventus plus Newcastle United in the Premier League and Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.

Ekitike is actually on an initial loan which includes an obligation to buy for €40m, so the only real exit strategy is to buy him outright and try to quickly flip him for as much as they can make.
