MN: Barcelona’s interest in Milan midfielder is concrete – they are in pole position

Another report has emerged which has confirmed that Barcelona have moved into the lead in the race to sign Franck Kessie on a free transfer.

The news first broke through Spanish journalist Xavi Campos (via BarcaUniversal) who reported that the Catalan side have completed the signing of Cesar Azpilicueta, who will leave Chelsea on a free transfer at the end of the season, and are in advanced talks to sign Kessie.

According to MilanNews, Barcelona’s interest in Franck Kessie is concrete and Catalan club are aiming to sign the Ivorian midfielder on a free transfer at the end of the season as they continue to retool their squad within the financial limits imposed due to their budgetary worries.

The 25-year-old is expected finish the season with the Rossoneri, helping the team in their fight for the title or to secure a top four spot at least, and then he will leave in the summer with a potential new adventure in Spain awaiting him.
