GdS: Milan tempted by Kulusevski deal but Juve’s €40m demands halt talks

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been linked with Dejan Kulusevski over the past 24 hours but it seems that the speculation will go no further than that, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes that Samu Castillejo is no longer part of Stefano Pioli’s plans and continues to be linked with a return to LaLiga, and if a sale were to go through in the last few days of the winter transfer window then Kulusevski has been identified as a potential replacement.

The Juventus winger was proposed to the Rossoneri in the past few hours but it is a negotiation that is very unlikely to go through because the temptation of the Milan management has clashed with the different needs of the two clubs.

The Bianconeri would only accept a sale or a formula that guarantees that he leaves permanently, so a potential obligation to buy, but this hypothesis is not taken into consideration by the Rossoneri both because they only want a loan with an option to buy at most, and the €40m Juve value the Swede at is too high.

The scenario could change only if Juve decide to change their mind in the last few days of the window, but at the moment this hypothesis appears rather unlikely.

  1. Insane. 20M would be a stretch. Let him rot on the bench. Let them pay his salary. There are plenty other youg targets for much less. And you don’t have to deal with insane clubs.
