Report: Decisive day awaits as Milan outcast Castillejo could secure Valencia move

By Isak Möller -

Samu Castillejo is edging closer to a move from AC Milan. The winger hasn’t been getting a lot of playing time this season and a return to Spain appears to be in the pipeline, a report claims.

This season, Castillejo has only played 122 minutes for the Rossoneri and although that is mostly due to an injury, he isn’t exactly at the top in the pecking order. With one and a half years left on his contract, a move this month makes a lot of sense.

According to the rather reliable journalist Matteo Moretto, there have been no contacts for a move to Valencia. Tomorrow is expected to be a key day for the transfer and Castillejo could thus make a return to Spain after almost four years in Italy.

It remains to be seen if Milan will sign a player to cover for the departure of Castillejo, but that doesn’t seem likely given their budget.
