Red Star director confirms Milan have ‘agreed everything’ and have beaten ‘big clubs’ to Lazetic

By Oliver Fisher -

Red Star Belgrade director Zvezdan Terzić has confirmed that striker Marko Lazetic is on his way to AC Milan after the two clubs found an agreement.

Calciomercato.com reported that Pietro Pellegri will move to Torino on loan from Monaco and the operation is close to completion as the 21-year-old is looking for more playing time when he gets fit again, and he was very keen in linking up with Ivan Juric at Torino.

Meanwhile, Milan have wasted no time in replacing him as Stefano Pioli is preparing to welcome the 18-year-old Marko Lazetic, who is arriving from Red Star for €4m, plus bonuses and a percentage on future resale.

Their director Terzic was interviewed by Serbian source Telegraf.rs about the rumours that Lazetic will be starting a new adventure in Italy with Milan, confirmed that a deal is imminent and talking very highly of the player.

“There has been the interest of big clubs for Lazetić, we have had offers from Zenit, Salzburg, Fiorentina… These are indications that pay off the enormous investments in our youth sector, which cost us three million euros a year,” he said (via Calciomercato.com).

“The transfer of Lazetic to Milan is an indication of the good work done. Yesterday we agreed everything with Milan, now I expect Lazetic to negotiate his terms through his agents and sign the contract. For Red Star it is a great recognition to have their own player at Milan after 30 years.”
