MN: Scouting process instrumental again as Milan beat Zenit and Salzburg to teenager

By Oliver Fisher -

Today is being dubbed ‘Lazetic Day’ as Marko Lazetic will land in Italy to undergo his medical ahead of joining AC Milan, according to a report.

MilanNews writes that the signing is no real surprise because Milan will always focus on young players, as is their philosophy under the ownership of Elliott Management and the directors in place, and they have chosen the 18-year-old Lazetic to come in after the exit of Pietro Pellegri.

Within Serbia it appears Lazetic is considered a real talent for the future, a classic No.9 standing at 192cm and who looks have a great future ahead of him. The good news is that he will arrive without pressure and he will work at Milanello with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud to grow.

Nonetheless, Lazetic will be called upon by Stefano Pioli if necessary, with the right situations hopefully arising to get him some useful minutes. The investment is €4m plus bonuses and 10% of the proceeds from any future resale.

It is another player that has been identified and monitored by the Rossoneri’s scouting department for a long time, and they acted quickly to sign him ahead of Zenit, Torino, Red Bull Salzburg and others.
