The fantastic support that AC Milan have had has continued into the current season with more sell-out crowds expected in the new year.
According to Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews, over 800,000 spectators have been present at Milan’s home matches so far this season, when combining the crowds from all the games in Serie A and the Champions League.
Milan are leading Italian clubs with an average of 72,857 per game in the league in the first part of the season. We are moving towards a sell-out against Roma, and over 60,000 should be present for the Coppa Italia clash against Torino.
Meanwhile, La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) write that the sale of tickets for Milan’s home Champions League game against Tottenham is continuing at a rapid pace. In the 24 hours of public sale on December 16, about 20,000 tickets were sold and therefore it would be reasonable to expect that game to be sold out too.
