AC Milan have chosen the man that they want to come in and shore up the defensive department in January, according to a report.
According to SportMediaset (via MilanLive), the concrete target for Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara is Sven Botman of Lille. They can count on the fact that Milan boast excellent relations after the operations involving Rafael Leao, Tiago Djalò and Mike Maignan, the broadcaster mentions.
Botman could join for around €20m as Lille look to raise some cash having struggled in what has been a disappointing Ligue 1 title defence so far. The 21-year-old would be tempted by the move for his part, knowing that it could be a step up in his career.
Meanwhile, Claudio Raimondi has told SportMediaset that Milan will only sign a defender in the January transfer market and a new striker should not arrive, as they are ready to rely on Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Olivier Giroud and Pietro Pellegri hoping that the latter two come back from injury in January.
