AC Milan have initiated contacts with Lille for both Renato Sanches and Sven Botman as they seek to complete a double transfer, a report claims.
As has been reported by Le10sport in France (via Milan News), the Rossoneri have started negotiating for Sanches and Botman who have both been linked with the club for a very long time.
Whilst they are trying to get the deals in order for the two players, nothing overly official is likely to happen until the takeover from RedBird Capital Group is made official.
Bids or contract offers are almost never made by clubs when a takeover is in process as funds are usually frozen.
It is believed that Portuguese midfielder Sanches can add some extra attacking bite to the Milan midfield whilst Botman can provide some much needed quality depth as Alessio Romagnoli looks set to leave for a club like Lazio or Inter.
I mean, hasn’t there been an article to this effect on this site each week for the last six months?

Not a bad point vis-a-vis a left footed defender, but was that an issue when the starting pairing was Tomori-Kjaer and then later with our epic run-in pairing of Tomori-Kalulu? Clearly it’s not a huge deal. The best answer is we don’t need to be wasting money on centrebacks. We have Tomori-Kalulu backed up by Kjaer, Gabbia and Caldara. Yep, Caldara, who has become a forgotten man, but stayed healthy this season on loan with Venezia, is a capped nazionale player and has one season left on his contract.
Lmao Caldara? Dude, no one not even Venezia wants Caldara. The guy is mediocre at best.
And we clearly needs a big boost for defense.
1) Romagnoli gonna leave and if he stay you think his good enough to play against Liverpool, Madrid, City, and other top europe club? Think again. He made plenty of blunders that cost us three points even against teams like Sasuolo and Atalanta.
2) Kjaer got ACL so no one knows if he will get his best form again or when his ACL relapse.
3) Tomori and Kalulu are fast but they’re not that good for air duel. On the other Botman is good for air duel.
Minus Kjaer and Romagnoli, we only got Tomori, Kalulu, and Gabbia. Only 3 CB and that’s enough to compete in Champions League, scudetto, and coppa Italia. What if one of Tomori or Kalulu got injured?
There’s no such thing as a waste of money for buying a young & solid CB.
