It seems as though Milan target Florian Thauvin will not be heading to Real Madrid despite rumours from Spain suggesting he was offered to them.
We asked Fabrizio Romano on our recent podcast special with him if Milan are interested in a new right winger and if there are any names, given the recent links with Thauvin of Marseille and Douglas Costa. He confirmed that in the summer a new right winger will arrive, with Thauvin a profile appreciated given he is out of contract at Marseille, meaning he is a big opportunity for many clubs.
He added that Thauvin would love to be a Rossoneri player, and that Paolo Maldini also mentioned the player is appreciated by the board of Milan.
However, Defensa Central are reporting that Real Madrid have been offered the chance to sign the 28-year-old, but Zinedine Zidane believes that his compatriot would not boost the squad and therefore declined the possibility.
Thauvin took to Twitter to address the rumours that Real turned down the chance to sign him, posting: “Is that so? Thanks for the laugh anyway.”
