AC Milan have made an enquiry over defender Simone Canestrelli, a report claims, who is currently impressing with Filippo Inzaghi’s Pisa.
According to La Nazione (via MilanNews), Canestrelli is the ‘central linchpin’ of Inzaghi’s Pisa side who are top of the Serie B table and are vying for promotion. This has in turn caught the attention of several Serie A clubs.
The 24-year-old centre-back already caught the eye of Bologna scouts last season but the Rossoblu are not the only club who have been watching him. Milan have made an ‘initial enquiry’, as per the newspaper.
At the moment, however, it seems unlikely that the Nerazzurri will let one of their key players leave, at least not in the January market. They need all hands on deck to try and get what would be a historic promotion back to the top flight.
Canestrelli came through the ranks of the Empoli youth sector and has also had experiences with AbinoLeffe, Crotone and Como. Standing at 1.92m he has shown himself to be a threat from set pieces too, with two goals this season.
In addition to potentially bolstering the strength of the back line, he would also help towards the homegrown player quote that Milan must very much keep an eye on.
He is good, and italian, also cheap, sign him !
for me, apart from him, there are some other best CBs that Milan need to see like Oumar Solet, Leon King and Abdukodir Khusanov…
I also prefer another one italian player, his name is Wisdom Amey.He play for Bologna. His price also cheap.
