As the weeks tick by towards the end of the season, the Milan management will have to make decisions on the players they currently have on loan with an option to buy.
One of those players is Alessandro Florenzi, who joined on an initial season-long loan deal from Serie A rivals Roma, which includes an option for it to be made permanent come the end of the current campaign. After a start to the season which contained some difficulties, in recent weeks Florenzi has returned to high levels.
According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the Milan management are now thinking about whether they should make his loan a permanent. He arrived for a loan fee of €1.5m and for him to sign beyond the end of the season, the Rossoneri have to pay €4.5m to the Giallorossi.
Of course there is still time before a final call has to be made, but his recent performances have done hopes of remaining no harm.

Needs a veteran like him in case Calabria or Kalulu having a bad day. His crossing and FK also pretty good.

I believe Florenzi is one of the most successful signings. The play is fast, he makes good crossing, his timing and interventions are great. In addition to the above, he can play is more than one position.

Played CL for years, a lot of experience and he seems to really appreciate being at Milan. Should be signed, we’ll see.
A welcome addition to the team for sure. BUT… Milan will do what they always do: try to re-negotiate the price and get a discount until Roma gets annoyed and sells him elsewhere.
