AC Milan will travel to face Hellas Verona on Sunday night as one of only three teams in Europe’s top five leagues to boast a particular statistic.
As Oddschecker (via PianetaMilan) report, Milan are the only undefeated away team in Serie A in 2022. In 13 games they have amassed nine wins and four draws, and they are one of the three teams unbeaten away from home in the top five five European leagues, with Barcelona and Manchester City the other two.
If Milan were to win at the Stadio Bentegodi, the Rossoneri would rack up at least seven wins in the first ten league games for three consecutive seasons for the first time in their history.
However, Verona are on four defeats in a row in Serie A – which saw them change head coach to Salvatore Bocchetti – and they have not lost five league games on the spin since May 2018.
Pioli’s men have won five of their last seven matches in Serie A against Verona (with two draws) and have emerged victorious in the last three games against the Gialloblù. Milan have not achieved four consecutive victories against Verona since the period between 1978 and 1983.
Should be a win. Imagine that record being realised for the first time IN OUR HISTORY. Tells you enough about the consistency of the project run by our management, doesn’t it? And of course quality wise, there is still much to be done.
