GdS: Agents alerted by Milan takeover as Man City and Real Madrid forwards are offered

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been offered two players as news has spread around Europe that the club are close to being taken over, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it), the word is spreading fast that the Bahrain-based fund Investcorp are close to buying Milan are are willing to invest this summer, so it has obviously appealed to various agents of players currently in top clubs but who need a new destination.

Raheem Sterling is one of the players who has been tentatively offered to Milan through his agent because his contract is expiring in 2023 and he no longer seems to be vital to Pep Guardiola, but his valuation of €50-60m is considered high despite there potentially a lot of liquidity for the summer campaign.

That kind of figure could be paid, but the real problem is Sterling’s salary as he is the second highest earner at City with wages of around €16m per year. While waiting to understand if and how much Investcorp will be willing to raise Milan’s current salary, that seems astronomical.

The possible arrival of Isco on the other hand is decidedly simpler, as his contract with Real Madrid expires at the end of the season so he would arrive on a free transfer, and he has already been close to joining the Rossoneri in the past.

The salary received by the Iberian playmaker is €7m net per season but his poor campaign and the fact he is 31 will force him to lower his demands, so he could be the replacement for Brahim Diaz.

  1. Even If investcorp take over AC Milan, i don’t think they want to pay player above 10m euro nett/ years, that Will ruin balance of dressing room. Isco still in reach AC Milan ,probably he will accept 4-5m euro nett if AC Milan still interesting sign him

  2. The agents of this guys are seeing the news about the takeover and smelling fat commissions and salarys for they player but before the never interest in joining us the just want to stuff there pockets!BIG FAT NO FOR BOTH!

    1. I agree with u… The new owners would be foolish to spend ridiculously, if they do, the club would be in debt and Elliot would come get Milan back from them. I’d advise they follow Elliot’s steps or slight increase in terms of Salary cap and management skill…. Elliot are one of the best around in adequate management. They are Very good!❤️🖤🙌

  3. i would rather have the new milan to keep up of what we are having now and build team with promising talents.

with more money we can actually get better talents and raise them.

the formula is still the same. need RW, CF and kessie’s replacement then we are set. Retrain saeles as RB

  4. Sterling is a big game bottler, he’s a head down run merchant. Even Galliani wouldn’t be stupid enough to sign a player like that.
