Vitiello: Milan met with representatives of agency to discuss alternative to Renato Sanches

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan met with the Sports360 agency earlier in the week to speak about a potential alternative to Renato Sanches, according to a report.

Milan are in the process of planning for the summer transfer window, with all fingers pointing towards making signing to bolster the defence and midfield, with Renato Sanches constantly linked for the latter.

It emerged yesterday that the management had met with representatives of an agency for a meeting about the mercato, namely the Sports360 agency who boast a list of quality clients, and now Anto Vitiello of MilanNews has given an update.

On his YouTube channel (via Francesco Nasato) Vitiello reports that in the meeting the Rossoneri asked about Julian Weigl of Benfica but at the moment it is simply an expression of admiration rather than anything concrete.

The idea is that Weigl could be an alternative to Renato Sanches who remains the number one target that Milan are insisting on.

  1. No to Sanches and no to Weigl!
    We lose Kessie for free! So we must get Kamara from Marseille for free!
    And even if we want to spend millions;
    I prefer a promising one, like Ryan Gravenberch of Ajax.
    Or a experienced one, like Jorginho.

  2. Agreed @RoBex. I do not believe we are getting Sanches. I find it Hard to believe we would pay Sanches 5.5M – making him the highest salaried player on the team next season…. Sign KAMARA For free and use the Sanches $$ on a dynamic RW.

  3. I don’t get how they’re more concerned about defense and midfield while the attack is the most underperforming department in Milan?!

  4. Kamara is way way better then Sanches
    i prefer we keep kessie but dumb owner
    american owner are the worst
    loosing key players every year year is just bad look for the club we get lucky with Mike Maignan and Tonali developed
    what’s the point of buying young players and when they develop to important players we allow them to leave
    that’s not how you run football club
