AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli will field a team that is some way off his ‘first choice’ starting XI for the game against Arsenal this afternoon.
MilanNews have confirmed that several players who are still undergoing individual programmes as they aim to either recover from injury or get back into top condition trained this morning and will not take part in the game.
Mike Maignan, Davide Calabria, Alessandro Florenzi, Brahim Diaz, Junior Messias and Zlatan Ibrahimovic all did personal work this morning according to their respective programmes, with the aim of being involved either against Liverpool on Friday or PSV on December 30.
Meanwhile, the same source are also reporting that Charles De Ketelaere is expected to arrive at the Rossoneri’s training camp in the United Arab Emirates this evening at around 21:00 CET (so midnight in Dubai).
The attacking midfielder had a few days off after taking part in the World Cup with Belgium, whose campaign of course ended in a group stage knockout.
