Dusan Vlahovic is weighing up his options when it comes to his future, and it seems AC Milan are leading the race to land him.
The speculation about Vlahovic has ramped up in recent days. TeleLombardia claimed that he had reached an agreement over a pre-contract with Milan worth €8m net per year, but Matteo Moretto refuted this and spoke of a salary ceiling making the operation difficult.

Milan lead the charge
Now, the Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport have given their take on things. They address the fact that yesterday new rumours circulated regarding an imminent agreement between the Serbian striker and the Rossoneri, who are ‘continuing to press for the striker’.
Dusan has several options on the table at the moment. Milan are ‘the main one’, but recently both Barcelona and Bayern Munich have registered their interest. From February, he will be free to sign for another team and without a transfer fee involved.
Naturally, the new indications are increasingly pointing in the expected direction. His time with Juventus is over, a tale drawing to a close after 162 games and 64 goals. The paper adds that Milan are the ‘most likely’ to welcome him, with Massimiliano Allegri hoping to get him back firing again.
Good idea, lets get a 6th forward. Forget the defense.

We got a few SS but in reality only one (and now two CF) . Santi and Fulkrug who is on loan. I do however wonder, say we sign him and everyone is healthy. U gotta have Rafa, Puli and i assume your new top CF. Who would be the odd man out? A midfielder and we go uber offensive? Change to a back 4? …. many options. or headaches for Allegri
Fullkrug is on a loan deal , Gimenez is injured and they might get rid of Nkunku .
My guesses:
Santi will recover. Nkunku will stay. Füllkrug will be bought.
Anyway, Too many options for just 2 positions. And I doubt Max will go back to 433/4231 and stay with his 352.
In contrast, 4 options for 3 positions in defence.
Why do you assume they’re not going to get another center back? This article is about Vlahovic signing for free in July. Did you just find this site? There have been plenty of articles about center backs now in January. In any case, Fullkrug is a loan without an obligation, and Nkunku has no place and is already being heavily linked with a move away. So Fullkrug will go back and Nkunku will get sold.
Allegri clearly wants to play with a target man type and a support type. If Vlahovic arrives, he will be ST1, Gimenez ST2, and Leao and Pulisic will probably rotate. That’s a pretty good attack.
I am not assuming anything. They WILL have to get another CB.
It’s just… prioritize and focus on the important things.
Doubt Milan will ever pay anyone 8mil a season to play for them, especially Vlahovic whose output is unproven especially at that high of a salary.
I think the salary is what would ultimately prevent the signing, but Vlahovic has scored 20+ goals in Serie A. He’s had a rough time at a Juventus that has been struggling lately. Juventus have gone through four manages since Vlahovic joined in 2021-22 (as have we, to be fair). Players need stability. We’re never going to spend 60-70M on a “guarantee”. What is a guarantee anyway? How many strikers have we seen move for 70M, 80M, 90M and then flop? If they can agree on a salary, Vlahovic on a free transfer at age 25 is a “yes, please”.
Hope this is the move, Dusan, leao, Puli, Santi and Nkunku seems like a solid forward group for sure.

If we can sell Nkunku to Turkey for $35m, and get Dusan for $25m, why not?
Offer him $6m year salary, so he’s not the highest paid or anything, but then give him a $10m signing bonus since we’re getting him on a lower fee.
Done. Do the deal.
I can see a scenario where we sign Vlahovic in the summer, sell Nkunku, dont buy Fullkrug and keep Gimenez. That way we go into next season with two real CFs (Vlahovic/Gimenez) and two natural SS (Pulisic/Leao).
With european games next season almost certain (probably CL, EL for sure). We need that kind of coverage in the attack to compete on all fronts and be able to rotate those weeks with 2 games.
Then we need to sign another good right winger and 1-2 CBs depending on if we get another CB in january or not.
Midfield and left winger is covered with 2 players on every position unless Modric dont play another season.
