TMW: Spurs offered €72m man to Milan in Kessie talks – the Rossoneri’s response

By Oliver Fisher -

Spurs midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has ended up securing a return to Olympique Lyonnais but AC Milan were offered the chance to sign him, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by Marco Conterio of TMW, Ndombele has rejoined Lyon on loan for €3m with an option to buy but a return to Ligue 1 was not the only hypothesis that Tottenham had in mind.

The London club tried to include him in a deal to immediately sign Kessie rather than waiting for the summer, but the Milan management said no to the idea as they clearly do not see him being the right profile, either from a technical or a financial point of view given his huge salary.

Ndombele joined Spurs from Lyon in a deal worth €62m plus €10m in potential bonuses (as per Wikipedia) but they have not managed to get the best out of him.
