It seems as though Hakim Ziyech never left AC Milan’s sights as a transfer target after their attempts last summer, according to a report.
Rumours have exploded over the past 24 hours suggesting that Ziyech is very much back in fashion as an option to reinforce Milan’s attack ahead of next season. Fabrizio Romano reported late last night that Ziyech ‘can leave Chelsea this summer’ and Milan ‘are interested in signing him’, with talks ‘already ongoing’.
According to MilanNews, the Rossoneri management kept contacts alive with the entourage of the Morocco international throughout the 2021-22 season, having tried to sign him last summer.
The report adds that the former Ajax winger remains an ‘undisputed protégé’ of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara who want to try their luck again with the hopes of finding an agreement this time given Chelsea’s openness to a departure.
