CorRomagna: Milan present offer worth €1m for talented teenage midfielder

By Oliver Fisher -

We have seen under the current management that Milan do not just focus on ready made players but also those who could become stars of the future, and a bid could be launched for Tommaso Berti of Cesena.

After snatching Marko Lazetic from Red Star Belgrade, the Rosssoneri are seriously thinking of trying to land the 17-year-old midfielder, who is impressing a lot on Serie C given his age. According to Corriere di Romagna (via MilanLive), Milan are making a concrete attempt for a midfielder they have already scouted plenty in the past.

At the end of last August Milan tried to close a deal for Berti but Cesena chose to keep him, but now the Rossoneri have put on the table the same offer presented 6 months ago: €500k up front and another €500k in bonuses that would be triggered at the moment of his debut in the first team.

According to the report, the management of Cesena are tempted and their sporting director Zebi will bring this proposal to the ears of the American owners. Venezia are also keen on the teenager, who has 17 official appearances this season.

  1. So we need a top striker but we let Vlahovic go to Juventus.

I remember when milan had money and refused to sign Dybala in the earlies because they thought it was too much money for a young player. Well he was clearly worth it.

Chiesa was another one milan should have tried to sign…again Juve snapped him up.

    Now Vlahovic.

Milan wants to compete in Europe and win scudetto without depth.

I understand the concept of youth but we need to make some significant signings in each department to solidify the team.

We unfortunately cannot keep going after free agents.

    1. Did you forgot when Milan purchased Higuain and Bonucci? Those are expensive and top players but they didn’t bring anything for Milan except FAILURE and BIG DEBT.

Vlahovic is 70 million euros and Chiesa around 50-60 million. Right now Milan is not a club who can spend 70 million only for one players, not when Milan just rebuild their team and got back to Champions League AFTER 7 YEARS ABSENT.

As a fan, I support Milan decision for keep purchasing potensial youngsters with normal price rather then see them repeat their mistake of falling down in the same hellhole: spending a lot of money for expensives players
