AC Milan have been working for months to increase revenues through the introduction of new sponsors, and another one is close to joining.
Antonio Vitiello writes for MilanNews how the Rossoneri’s ownership Elliott Management – led from a strategy point of view by CEO Ivan Gazidis – have entered into over 25 partnerships since August last year alone and they are looking to capitalise on the fact the team are doing better on the field.
On the table are the renewals of existing agreements with the kit maker PUMA and shirt sponsor Emirates, but they are negotiating with a new sponsor called Wefox Italia, an online insurance company focused on cars and home insurance coverage.
They were founded in Berlin in 2015, is one of the best known European insurtech companies worldwide, and are a partner of Union Berlin in the Bundesliga. Vitiello adds that the negotiation appears to be in an advanced state, so Wefox will sponsor the back of the Milan shirt next season.
