ML: Milan recruitment plans depend on Ibrahimovic’s future

By Mitchell Wilks -

Milan will wait to see what the future holds for Zlatan Ibrahimovic before finalising their summer transfer plans, a new report states.

A new striker has long been on the list for the Rossoneri, with Divock Origi all but confirmed to join on a free transfer, if reports are to be believed.

MilanLive report that Origi might not be the only striker Milan sign, however. If Ibrahimovic retires or chooses not to renew, the Rossoneri could recruit another new, younger forward.

The idea would be to use the money saved on the Swede, plus the club being willing to entertain offers for Ante Rebic, to recruit another forward. Names being suggested by the report are Giacomo Raspadori, and Porto’s Mehdi Taremi.

While Taremi would provide greater pedigree and experience once more, Raspadori is a long-term fit.

Olivier Giroud is already 35, thus reinforcements at centre forward will be needed rather soon.
