CM: Milan in no rush to discuss €22m signing with Real Madrid – the situation

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have enjoyed Brahim Diaz’s recent signs of being back to top form and the plan for his future has come back to light, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com writes how Milan are enjoying the return of the ‘old’ Brahim Diaz, who went through an extended period of difficulty after recovering from Covid-19 but then appeared to find a turning point in the derby against Inter, playing between the Nerazzurri lines and then following that up with a good performance against Lazio in the cup too.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara let Hakan Calhanoglu leave without too many regrets because they believe in the potential of Brahim, getting him back on a two-year loan from Real Madrid with an option to buy.

It is still early, but at the moment the Rossoneri leadership do not want to reformulate the agreement with Real, who hold a buy-back at €27m. If they were to show an openness to accepting a discount on the €22m option to buy then there would be room for discussion, but it will not be rushed.
