Journalist claims Milan have been offered Porto and Marseille centre-backs by intermediaries

By Oliver Fisher -

Two new profiles have been offered to AC Milan with agents and intermediaries now very much aware that the management are pursuing a centre-back, it is claimed.

As reported by the Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, in the last few hours Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have been offered two new names: Chancel Mbemba of Porto and Duje Caleta-Car of Marseille. The former is a player that Milan know well given looked good in the Champions League match against the Rossoneri earlier this season.

He is also an interesting economic opportunity because his contract with the Portuguese club will expire at the end of the season, meaning the 27-year-old could opt to try something new. The former Newcastle man knows how to play as a right-back and as a defensive midfielder if needed.

Caleta-Car is under contract until 2023 but the Croatian is not a first choice for Marseille and therefore he could also be allowed to leave via an economic operation that is not too expensive. He is 1.92m tall and is good in aerial duels, with reflections on both players underway.

  1. Due is RBS guy, have him watched from 18 to 21 profile is well but he is slow.
If you go that way, then please buy directly from RBS… the time in Marseille was bad for him in terms of developing. Once again guys… Think about solet and piatkowski!! Or wait again until they play bayern Munich or Dortmund. Your choice
