Goal: Milan monitoring situation surround Palmeiras star with €100m clause

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are monitoring the situation surrounding young Palmeiras midfielder Danilo dos Santos de Oliveira ahead of a potential future move, a report claims.

Goal Brasil report that Palmeiras do not intend to sell the 21-year-old and they are protected by a €100m release clause in his contract that applies to clubs abroad. The Rossoneri have not yet made any contact with the Paulistas to signal an offer, but they are monitoring the player’s situation.

Milan intend to meet with the midfielder’s entourage to gather information about his future, given he has a deal until December 2026. However, they are already aware that Palmeiras consider a sale in the current summer window to be off limits.

Palmeiras president Leila Pereira spoke to ESPN Brasil in May this year, stating: “Palmeiras needs to buy players like Merentiel. In the mid-year window, Danilo stays.”

Watford in the Championship have already stated they are willing to pay around €15m for Danilo, a value considered low by Palmeiras, and Olympique de Marseille are also keen.

In 2022, the youngster has so far made 27 appearances for Palmeiras, with 6 goals scored 2 two assists.
