CM.it: Milan want €15m Palmeiras youngster but trail Arsenal and Benfica in the race

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and rivals Juventus are both interested in signing talented young midfielder Danilo from Palmeiras, according to a report.

According to what is being reported by Calciomercato.it, the Rossoneri and the Bianconeri are both keen on signing the 20-year-old, who has made 10 appearances so far in the 2022 season and predominantly plays at the base of a midfield three.

However, the Brazilian club have no intention of dropping below €15-16m as an asking price if they are to let yet another talent depart their clubs. While it is a figure that may not frighten the clubs involved, there have not been any concrete negotiations with either Milan or Juve.

Instead, steps have been taken by teams in England and Portugal as Arsenal and Benfica appear to have acted upon their interest and are currently further ahead in the race to sign Danilo, who has been a fixture in the Palmeiras side since turning 18.

  1. Fantastic talent. And that means that he will not join Milan. The story will unravel like with Julian Alvarez; he will join one of the biggest guns.
