AC Milan got through to the last 16 of the Europa League despite a 3-2 defeat to Stade Rennais tonight as they secured a 5-3 aggregate win after a dominant first leg.
Benjamin Bourigeaud’s hat-trick including two goals from the penalty spot meant that Rennes ended up giving Milan a bit of a scare after the 3-0 scoreline back at San Siro last night.
However, in truth the Rossoneri were never really in danger as they equalised twice on the night, firstly through Luka Jovic’s header and then through a Rafael Leao solo goal.
It means Milan are in the last 16 and the draw will take place on 23 February – tomorrow – at 12:00 CET in Nyon, and there are seven group winners that await for Stefano Pioli’s side.
At this stage of the competition it is not possible to draw a team from the same league, which therefore leaves three potential Premier League opponents, plus teams in Germany, Scotland the Czech Republic and Spain.

The obvious teams to avoid based on difficulty would be Liverpool and Leverkusen who are having outstanding seasons domestically, but in truth there are few easy ties at this stage.
Very difficult road. It needs to be a lot of luck to reach finals. Quarter final is probably limit that Milan will reach, if in draw in next round, Milan avoid Lever and Liverpool.
We will draw either Liverpool pr Leverkusen, trust me!!
Hope we get Brighton.

Our lifes are not on the line so relax, we draw who we draw and enjoy the game on tv! Whatever the outcome of the game will be our life’s will go on. Just try to enjoy the games and stop stressing all the time about everything what regards our beloved club.

So my speculation would be they would want liverpool vs leverkusen on the final.
Since we have been linked with de zerbi, and since he has “history” with milan, i bet we will face brighton next round.

They would want the EPL to do the best, because EPL that is the big money league, and brings more for the UEL.
So Brighton would get an Easy match. Unless AC milan is seen as the easy match.
