Milan Primavera 1-2 Fiorentina: Cuenca scores first goal in defeat – video

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s Primavera side were unable to build upon their win over Cesena in the last game as they lost 2-1 at home against Fiorentina this afternoon.

The first goal went to the visitors in the fourth minute as Di Stefano took advantage of a misjudgement from Coubis to fire past Nava from a few yards out, but Milan hit back in the 11th minute as a lovely cross from Bozzolan found Hugo Cuenca who got his first goal since joining.

Berti ended up scoring a second half winner for Fiorentina and they held on to secure a 2-1 win that sees them go up to second in the standings, while Ignazio Abate’s side remain rather worryingly rooted on just one win since the turn of the year.

The result means that Milan could actually drop back into 16th this weekend depending on how Atalanta and Napoli do in their games.

  1. Whoa he dove in with that header, bravo. Lovely cross as well. There is no reason why Bozzolan cannot be the deputy to Theo. Theo hardly ever gets injured, and Bozzolan can get minutes in the matches when Theo is suspended or rotated.
