Milan Primavera 2-0 Cagliari: Rossoneri solid and effective in impressive win

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s Primavera side got their second win of the season as they beat Cagliari 2-0 at home earlier this afternoon to move onto six points.

Ignazio Abate’s men took the lead thanks to a Chaka Traorè free-kick that took a deflection off the wall, and then Jordan Longhi’s goal inside the final ten minutes put the game to bed against last season’s semi-finalists.

Cagliari also have three wins in their first four league games this season, which is a testament as to how the signed are positive for the youth side under Abate with the performances growing in level and consistency.

It is a positive result after the 1-1 draw in the UEFA Youth League against last season’s finalists Red Bull Salzburg in midweek, but now the young Rossoneri will need to back it up with another good performance against Dinamo Zagreb in the same competition on Wednesday night at the Vismara.
