AC Milan’s Primavera side took care of their business this afternoon ahead of the game at San Siro tonight by beating Red Bull Salzburg at the PUMA House of Football.
Last week’s win away from home against Dinamo Zagreb had already secured the Primavera’s path into the UEFA Youth League knockout stages but they still had to avoid defeat against Salzburg to go through top and avoid a play-off round.

It was goalless at the break but then the game sprang into life in a five-minute spell before the hour mark. Firstly the away side took the lead through Zeteny much to the delight of a small pocet of travelling fans, but Marko Lazetic hit straight back to make it 1-1 with a tidy finish.
Two minutes after the Rossoneri had equalised, Gabriele Alesi seized on some defensive inattention to make it 2-1 – his fourth goal in four games – and complete a quickfire turnaround, one that would end up winning Milan the game.
That means Ignazio Abate’s side have knockout European football to look forward to having racked up four wins and 14 points from their six Youth League games.
