Milan Primavera 5-1 Cesena: El Hilali stars as Abate gets first win

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s Primavera side got their first win of the season this afternoon as they beat Cesena 5-1 at the Vismara Sports Centre.

It was certainly not an ideal start to Ignazio Abate’s reign as the head coach of the Primavera as they lost 5-3 against Frosinone in the first round of action – conceding four goals in the second half – and followed that up with defeat in Sampdoria.

However, the team finally manage to get their first three points of the new campaign thanks to an own-goal from Elefante after 10 seconds, a brace from El Hilali plus goals from Marshage and Longhi in the second half to cap off the victory.

There was a superb performance from El Hilali who was a real driver in everything that Milan did in the game, scoring a match-winning double as mentioned and moving his personal tally to five goals in the opening three league games thus far.
