Di Marzio: Milan to sack Giunti – Terni steps up for now but Abate’s name emerges

By Oliver Fisher -

As Milan Primavera continue their slide towards the relegation play-off places, the management have decided to make a change.

According to Di Marzio, Milan have decided to sack the coach Federico Giunti and his successor, at least until the end of the season, will be Christian Terni. He has been the U18s boss for almost three seasons and agreement has already been reached, while Simone Baldo will then take his place.

If Terni does well and gets the Primavera out of their difficult situation then they will keep him in charge, but there is another idea which involves appointing Ignazio Abate. For now it is just a suggestion and will explored also based on the results of Terni.

Milan Primavera are back in a period of crisis with five defeats and only one victory in their last six games which puts them 14th in the table on 39 points, only two points above Empoli and three points above Genoa who are in the relegation spots.

The last three games of the season will be fundamental because Milan will face both Empoli and Genoa, as well as Inter in the Derby della Madonnina.
