Milan Primavera striker starts the season on fire – he averages a goal every 65 minutes

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have a striker in the Primavera system that is gathering a lot of attention for his goal scoring exploits combined with his young age.

The player in question is Jordan Longhi, who we highlighted in an article regarding seven players worth watching closely for the Primavera this season. He is a 17-year-old with a bright future given that in the U17 side last season he scored 16 goals and added 2 assists in 20 games, at an average of 1 every 91 minutes.

It has been a simply extraordinary start to the season for the teenager, who has ‘taken advantage’ of Marko Lazetic’s unavailability by making nine appearances so far and having scored on five occasions.

PianetaMilan highlights how the most recent two goals came yesterday as Ignazio Abate’s side overwhelmed Spezia 4-0 in the Coppa Italia and Longhi was certainly the protagonist in the match, with a brace being the right reward for his performance.

Longhi has still played just 325 minutes with Milan Primavera, but that means he has so far scored a goal every 65 minutes. That is certainly not a bad return for a player born in 2005 who is a candidate to become the club’s future striker, in good time of course.

  1. “who is a candidate to become the club’s future striker, in good time of course.”

Nope. Milan don’t support Italian young strikers. They loan them out and sell them. Every single time.

    1. For example: As much as I would have liked Cutrone to succeed at Milan we got more out of the money from his sale than he’d given us.

      1. He did play an insanely good first season though. Too bad he couldn’t continue on from there. Such a great person and an attitude the fans love.

  2. I thought Marco Nasti was supposed to be the next big thing. I’ve just seen he is on loan at Cosenza in Serie B but has not played a single game.
