CorSera: Milan begin probing potential Leao replacements as difficult negotiation awaits

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s management met with Rafael Leao’s lawyer Ted Dimvula yesterday to begin discussions over the renewal of the winger’s deal.

Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) reports that it was an interlocutory meeting rather than a decisive one, and in actual fact the feeling is that it will be a long negotiation full of obstacles to overcome.

There is the compensation owed Sporting CP, the player’s high demands and also the confusion that has been created about who has the mandate to manage the affairs on behalf of Leao. The French lawyer who met Milan yesterday has rather tense relations with agent Jorge Mendes as the two in fact have different ideas for the future.

The team that have begun showing interest most is Manchester United as some scouts watched him in the Champions League games against Chelsea, and to avoid being caught unprepared in case of a sale the management are thinking about replacements.

Before meeting Dimvula yesterday, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara spoke with the Belgian lawyer Ledure who, in addition to working on behalf of Lukaku, also represents Noa Lang of Club Brugge and Hakim Ziyech of Chelsea.

  1. They better not go after that Club Brugge bench warmer.
Club Brugge has had an outstanding season in UCL and Noa Lang hasn’t played a single second

  2. I would sell Leao while we have the opportunity to do so.
Mendez will ask a very high salery for Leao, a significant amount for bonus sign and obviously he will have a large amount going to his pocket.
If Milan are able to sell him for around 90 mil euros it would be great opportunity.
With that amount, Moncada – Maldini – Massara will build a strong quality team.

P.S. Obviously Leao’s replacement will not be
    Noa Lang

    1. I’m not sure. First of all, to replace Leao you’ll need investment of minimum 50M.
With the rest, you can buy 2 good (not great) players.

      1. Yep. Should have prepared for the inevitable and gotten Kvaradona already. Missed that train. Unfortunately. But I’d still buy him with the money from Leao.

      2. Kvara wanted to go to a team where he could be a starter. Even his agent said that both Milan and Juventus couldn’t guarantee him that because they have Leao and Chiesa.
Now if Milan can’t resign Leao and they have to sell him in January then someone in Milan management needs to be held responsible for misjudging the situations.
Also Enzo Fernandez (Moncada recommended) is a big miss by Milan management. Instead of snatching him for 10 mil plus bonuses, they kept waiting on Renato Sanches.
Kvara and Enzo were both purchased for 10 mil + bonuses. As Silvio Berlusconi would say for”Peanuts”.

  3. We can’t get khrava nomore, yes maybe Saint maximin will do but even Noa Lang will have a point to prove trust me we can get both of this players just sell leao
