Vitiello: Milan focus on PSG man but want Eintracht Frankfurt defender on a free

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are likely to pursue a move for Evan N’Dicka of Eintracht Frankfurt but will wait a year to do so, according to one journalist.

Bild (via MilanNews) reported last week that there was a video call between Paolo Maldini and N’Dicka during which a potential move to Italy was discussed, given that the Frenchman’s contract expires in June 2023.

However, Tuttosport (via MilanNews) stated this morning that N’Dicka is now expected to stay at Eintracht Frankfurt for the 2022-23 season and then he will leave the Bundesliga club on a free transfer at the end of next season when his contract expires.

According to what is being reported by Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews on his YouTube channel, Milan are one of the clubs interested in signing defender N’Dicka on a free transfer next June.

Milan even tried an onslaught this summer as confirmed by the sporting director of Frankfurt, but the high asking price (€15-20m) added to the departure of another pillar of the team in Kostić meant it was not viable.

This summer Milan are likely to sign a new central defender on loan rather than on a permanent deal, with Abdou Diallo of PSG now the main target.
