Footmercato: Milan pushing hard again to convince Lyon midfielder to join

By Oliver Fisher -

The AC Milan management have not discarded the idea of signing Houssem Aouar and are pushing to convince him to join, a report claims.

Aouar has been repeatedly linked with a move to join Milan over the past few transfer windows and those rumours seem to have intensified given that his contract with Lyon expires at the end of the season and there is nothing to suggest a renewal is close.

According to what is being reported by Footmercato (via PianetaMilan), Milan seem to be pushing hard to sign Aouar once again, who recently decided to represent the Algerian national team.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are at work trying to convince the 25-year-old to move to Milan on a free transfer ahead of next season, given the desire to add some quality to a midfield department which has generally struggled since the departure of Franck Kessie at the end of last season.
