Milan-linked Real Madrid attacker admits he ‘wants to renew’ with Los Blancos

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan-linked attacker Marco Asensio has admitted that he would like to renew his contract with Real Madrid but knows that it is not only up to him.

Speaking during an interview with Bernabeu Digital, the Spanish attacking midfielder did not show any sign that he is looking to force a move away from the Spanish champions.

Asensio is one of many names that has been consistently linked with Milan as someone that can provide better quality depth in the attacking department.

Being a Real Madrid player, he is harder for Milan to afford from both a transfer fee and a salary standpoint.

Milan are likely waiting to see if Real Madrid make a commitment to wards selling him before they make a bid.

Asensio would like to stay at Real Madrid but he is not sure that the club wants to keep him.

“I want to renew and stay at Madrid for a long time, but it does not depend only on me. We are talking about it and we will see how things will go, but right now I want to concentrate on the next match and think about doing well and being happy. For the rest you don’t have to ask me, but someone else,” Asensio said.

Asensio is 27 years old and is out of contract in the summer.
