Tuttosport: Milan to negotiate with Real Madrid over €22m fee as playmaker’s struggles persist

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have a plan in mind with regards to the future of Brahim Diaz who is currently on loan from Real Madrid, according to a report.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) write that despite some ups and downs this season, there seems to be no doubt about the future of Brahim Diaz because he is a player that the management trust and believe will get back to his best form after a bit more time adapting to Serie A.

The 22-year-old playmaker is on loan from Real Madrid until 30 June 2023 and the Milan management will try to negotiate with LaLiga leaders to get a discount on the €22m needed to purchase him permanently.

Brahim has had a disjointed season after starting with 4 goals in his first 9 games but having not scored since September in the win away against Spezia, with Covid-19 seeming to knock him off the rhythm he had established in the early part of the campaign.

  1. I think he will be very good. All the signs were there before he got covid.

Also think it would be interesting to see him play wide on the right.

  2. Lets say he suddenly turns the tide and is an incredible player for the remainder of these 8 matches (a goal or assist per game). Will we still consider it to be a bad season for him/ still not worth buying?
