AC Milan's Spanish midfielder Brahim Diaz

Relevo: Milan ‘very likely’ to lose playmaker as future at Real Madrid beckons

AC Milan may have to reassess their plans for the playmaker position moving forward as Brahim Diaz is reportedly unlikely to remain at the club.

Brahim Diaz is in his third year with the Rossoneri but is still only on loan, having signed on an initial one-year loan back in the summer of 2020 which was renewed the following year via the formula of a two-year paid loan.

There has since been debate between Spanish and Italian sources regarding whether there is an option to buy included in the deal or not, be that something written or a gentleman’s agreement between the sides.

According to what is being reported by Sergio Santos of Relevo (via Madrid Zone), Brahim Diaz is ‘very likely’ to play for Real Madrid next season. No information has been provided aside from that, but given the number of departures expected and the desire to freshen up the attack, it is perhaps not a surprise.

  1. So we need to replace another guy without money and only have that terrible Cdk.. also another rigtwinger and a backup leftback

    1. As long as that mediocrity is in Milan we will not invest into anything. Our management loves fooling itself that they have a complete and competent team, and unitil some of these “players” leave, they won’t even consider bringing in anything new.

      1. If our management is fooling itself that they have a competent team, doesn’t that make them incompetent by default?
I would rather have Brahim stay because if he leaves, I don’t have confidence in our management to be able to replace him since they have proven unable to replace Hakan, Kessie, Romagnoli.
He is the only n10 we have on the team.
CDK isn’t a 10, he is a striker. Even Maldini has told that to Adani, as reported yesterday

  2. They can sign Aouar for free, and every year, there are several good players to swap for free.

But in the same time. We need to release injury prone players like Origi, Rebic, Florenzi and gain capital from their sales.

With money of sales these three players, we can brig three young players for squad and save from smaller salaries.

If we lose Diaz, Pioli can play Charles, Krunic, Maldini, Vranckx and yes, bring Aouar.

    1. Vranckx isn’t a Milan owned player. At the end of the season, he will be going back to Wolfsburg.
Maldini can’t even get playing time for Spezia, but people want Pioli to play him at Milan.
Charles needs to prove that he can even stay at Milan.
Krunic is nothing more than a utility bench player who is also injured several times a year.
Good luck getting rid of Origi, Rebic, and especially Florenzi

  3. I´m still a bit baffled with all the negativity. What do you want? Fantasy players and four titles every year? You want the team to be owned by a Saudi prince with no regard for human rights so we have enough money? Stop complaining at every instance. We won scudetto last year, we are still in the race this year, and we reached CL playoffs. Yes, the signings during the summer has been disappointing, and some of the older signings (like Diaz) never took off. It happens. Team is still performing. Its ok to complain, but maybe not all the time?

    1. “Fantasy players and four titles every year? You want the team to be owned by a Saudi prince with no regard for human rights so we have enough money?” – That sounds perfect, can we please have that?
