Andrea Cambiaso’s importance to Juventus and the Italian National Team cannot be understated. With this, AC Milan are left watching with a feeling of regret.
In recent years, there have been some issues with the four corners of the Milan team. Rafael Leao and Theo Hernandez produced a strong and balanced side. However, there have been problems with the right side for far too long.
Signing Christian Pulisic aided that, and now, the Rossoneri are in a much stronger position, and it was hoped Emerson Royal’s addition would further solidify the side, creating a balance on the wings. However, he has been questioned since joining the club in the summer.
Perhaps, the answer was Cambiaso, a player who has been tracked and approached by Milan in the past, as Tuttosport (via Milan News) recalls. The defender has gone from Serie D to the Champions League in a short space of time, and he could have taken this route with the Milanese club.
For Thiago Motta and Luciano Spalletti, he is indespesible. An attacking full-back who is quickly establishing himself as one of the best in his position in Italy. The Rossoneri, therefore, can only watch his continued progress with a feeling of regret, thinking of what could have been.
Perhaps italians are better at full back.
Could have got Cambiaso, could have got Bellanova, could have got kayode…..no, we get Emerson Royal… !!?? Unbelievable from Moncada, Fonseca and Ibra ??!!
Bellanova is more of a RM, but yeah Kayode and Cambiaso in this team would have been perfect.
If we get Chiesa/Gnoto and Ricci, we can try for international RB and Tomiyasu contact is running out!
Well he’s italian so we don’t buy them anymore as Milan. We’ve become a club that hates itself now.
Is he that good really? I don’t rate him highly but he would have been a good rotation for both backs seeing as he can play both sides. Kinda like Dalot. We were on to something with him. Too bad we didn’t get a deal to buy during his loan
Agree about Dalot, he’s actually better than what we have today.
Perfect fit really. And he improved defensively too while with us. When he went back to man Utd, my bro who is a fan said he liked how his defence got better. He’s ofc declined in that area due to the league he’s playing in but Dalot suited our game and playing style.
Just like Maldini, this new management team should also be fired for their incompetence
What surprises me the most is that Milan have a better team than Spurs and still signed one of their worst players, Royal was flopping at spurs it’s obvious he wasn’t going to help us
I long for the day to have Maldini level of incompetence at the club once more if it means we’ll be competing for and winning trophies
