Pedulla: Milan want to sign star Lille duo in the summer with contacts underway

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in signing two players from Lille in the summer transfer window with contacts underway, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by Alfredo Pedulla, Renato Sanches has rediscovered his form and his happiness with Lille but he has a contract expiring in a year and a half which has been playing on the mind of the Ligue 1 champions.

A few days ago they offered a renewal to the Portuguese international, and while Sanches took time to consider it he feels ready for a new adventure elsewhere and therefore will not commit to an extension.

He has in his mind a potential move to Milan to try a new challenge in Italy after playing in Portugal, Germany, England and France. The 24-year-old was actually close to joining Milan several years ago but in the summer a deal could really get over the line, given his contract situation will reduce the fee Lille can command.

The two clubs are also in talks over Sven Botman who the Rossoneri have always had top of their list of centre-back targets. Contacts with the defender’s agents are constant, but so far Lille have resisted, so Milan could try a double swoop in the summer.

  1. If we could get only one then I’d take Robot Man. Yacine is coming and while I like Renato, it may not be a necessary signing unless of course we’ve got cash to spend which looks unlikely seeing as we’re dealing with the contract of the captain of Milan.
