AC Milan are already feeling optimistic about completing two major coups in the summer transfer window, according to a report.
Enzo Bucchioni’s editorial for TMW writes that Milan tried to address their centre-back problem by bringing forward a big investment from the upcoming summer, as they tried hard to convince Lille to sign Sven Botman but they were unable to break down their resistance.
However, the Dutchman has an agreement with Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara which bodes well for the summer, even Lille were not convinced by the idea of selling him midway through the current season.
Franck Kessie’s exit to Barcelona is gathering steam and the management have already decided on who should replace him: Renato Sanches. Botman and Renato have both given the green light to a potential summer move as they deem Milan a ‘welcome destination’, with the journalist adding that ‘there is optimism’ both operations will go ahead.

I can have optimism too. Unfortunately optimism isn’t a guarantee. Especially with milans track record being named with every player under the sun and ending up with the cheapest alternative. Now Kessie seems set to turn down any club to stay in serie a, if he goes to juve or inter I’ll explode
I’m with you man. I gotta see it to believe it. If i recall they were also very optimistic about Julian Alvarez from River Plate and Citi showed up with real money and he’s gone.
They were also optimistic last summer on Dusan Vlahovic and what happened? Now juve has it.
They were optimistic about renewing Kessie (and last summer dollaruma). etc point being, optimism is good but at some point they gotta show the cash
not forgetting how we lost thauvin & faivre
