AC Milan have rekindled their interest in signing FC Nantes striker Randal Kolo Muani in January, according to reports.

Kolo Muani has had a positive start to the season for Nantes as he has five goal contributions in Ligue 1 already this season including three goals, and the 22-year-old continues to be linked with a possible move to a bigger club given the obvious talent he has.

Il Milanista reports that Milan have a clear plan ahead of the January transfer window and it revolves around Junior Messias. Should the 30-year-old offer physical guarantees between now and the January transfer window, and chip in with some goals and assists ideally, the Rossoneri won’t have as much urgency.

However, should the injury problems continue Milan would be ‘obliged’ to intervene to sign both an attacking midfielder and a winger, when considering the probable exit of Samu Castillejo. This is why the name of Kolo Muani as he can play as a right winger, attacking midfielder and even as a striker.

Calciomercato.it are reporting exactly the same as the source above: a new forward will arrive if Messias’ struggles persist and Kolo Muani is among the names.
